Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially hiring four people. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Through five years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 workers and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is amongst the leading worldwide makers in the material handling industry.
Design and manufacturing of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively pursue better business opportunities.
