Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars
Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar - This type of mast includes three parts as the name implies. The outside part is connected firmly to the lift vehicle. The next section telescopes within the mounted outside section and the inner most part telescopes in the intermediate section. Both the intermediate and the interior section raise and the lift cylinders extend. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides inside the inner part. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are limited. This mast is often outfitted with a center cylinder to be able to allow the fork carriage elevate a few distance before the mast parts begin lengthening.
There are two main sections in a 2 Stage Mast. The external section of the mast is mounted to the lift vehicle. The inner section sits within the external section and elevates while the cylinders extend. The fork carriage is located within the internal part. This mast type has a taller lowered height compared to an equivalent lift height quad mast or 3 stage mast.
